H. Details of Innovations / Contribution in Teaching
a) Preparation of resource material including books, self learning material, laboratory manuals
i. Prepared self learning package on Health Education based on B.Ed curriculum.
ii. Prepared self learning material on AIDS for student teachers at secondary level.
iii. Guided the preparation of Programmed learning material on biology topics in Secondary schools by student teachers.
iv. Laboratory assistance given to Experiments conducted for Project works, Specimen preservation, Preparation of Herbarium, Slide preparation and Computer laboratory assistance for Power Point slide preparation.
b) Evaluation methods
i. Scoring indicators were prepared for B.Ed practicals and practicum for Natural Science optional.
ii. Evaluation sheets were prepared for micro teaching specifically for main practicing skills.
iii. Guided the Preparation of a question bank for secondary school biology topics by student teachers.
iv. Guided Action Researches conducted by B.Ed student teachers during their practice teaching.
v. Conducted Seminars and the presented papers and reports were filed properly.
c) Remedial Teaching / Student Counseling (academic)
i. Remedial teaching for Natural science students in all working days in two sessions first from 8.30 am – 9 am and second from 4pm- 4.30 pm.
ii. Work as mentor for selected number of students in every year. During the sessions discussions were carried out on account of solving their academic and life problems. Suggestions were given to weak students about how they can improve and modify their learning habits.
iii. Lecturer in charge of Grievance Redressel Cell from 2007-2010.
d) Catering the Creative Skills of student teachers
i. A manuscript year book “Oyster” including the creative thinking of Natural science students was made as a classroom publication work.
ii. A class journal “ Cornu copia” including project work done by student teachers in Natural science optional produced as a classroom publication work.
iii. Organised class exhibitions which was viewed by secondary school students from nearby schools.
iv. Grow and maintain a medicinal plant garden in college for the common awareness of student teachers in all other optional subjects.
v. Lecture in charge of Nature club “Silent Spring”. At the end of the year the report of its activities was compiled in the form of a book.
vi. Conduct nature camps for four years, organized by the Department of Forest, Kerala State for nature club members.
a. Three day Nature camp at Vallakadavu,Thekkady, Idukky Dist for students in UCTE,Kudamaloor in 2005-2006.
b. Three day Nature camp at Silent Valley National Park,Palakkad Dist for students in UCTE, Kudamaloor in 2006-2007.

H. Details of Innovations / Contribution in Teaching
a) Preparation of resource material including books, self learning material, laboratory manuals
i. Prepared self learning package on Health Education based on B.Ed curriculum.
ii. Prepared self learning material on AIDS for student teachers at secondary level.
iii. Guided the preparation of Programmed learning material on biology topics in Secondary schools by student teachers.
iv. Laboratory assistance given to Experiments conducted for Project works, Specimen preservation, Preparation of Herbarium, Slide preparation and Computer laboratory assistance for Power Point slide preparation.
b) Evaluation methods
i. Scoring indicators were prepared for B.Ed practicals and practicum for Natural Science optional.
ii. Evaluation sheets were prepared for micro teaching specifically for main practicing skills.
iii. Guided the Preparation of a question bank for secondary school biology topics by student teachers.
iv. Guided Action Researches conducted by B.Ed student teachers during their practice teaching.
v. Conducted Seminars and the presented papers and reports were filed properly.
c) Remedial Teaching / Student Counseling (academic)
i. Remedial teaching for Natural science students in all working days in two sessions first from 8.30 am – 9 am and second from 4pm- 4.30 pm.
ii. Work as mentor for selected number of students in every year. During the sessions discussions were carried out on account of solving their academic and life problems. Suggestions were given to weak students about how they can improve and modify their learning habits.
iii. Lecturer in charge of Grievance Redressel Cell from 2007-2010.
d) Catering the Creative Skills of student teachers
i. A manuscript year book “Oyster” including the creative thinking of Natural science students was made as a classroom publication work.
ii. A class journal “ Cornu copia” including project work done by student teachers in Natural science optional produced as a classroom publication work.
iii. Organised class exhibitions which was viewed by secondary school students from nearby schools.
iv. Grow and maintain a medicinal plant garden in college for the common awareness of student teachers in all other optional subjects.
v. Lecture in charge of Nature club “Silent Spring”. At the end of the year the report of its activities was compiled in the form of a book.
vi. Conduct nature camps for four years, organized by the Department of Forest, Kerala State for nature club members.

3. As a part of our community awareness programme, we visited PALLURUTHY RELIEF SETLEMENT in Ernakulam district and met all inmates. Now 280 inmates are staying there, both males and females. We distributed fruits, sweets and clothes and also conducted cultural programmes there. We handed over Rs 20,000 collected from the students to the authorities in charge.
